OK, I’m a bonafide Gin fan, consumer, advocate, mascot and appreciator. So when I found out about this I wee’d my pants a little. Check this out…
Australian gin aficionado, Alice Adamson, the brainchild behind Australia’s newest online gin market place, Speakeasy Alice has created the ultimate Christmas gift, 12 Days of Ginmas®️.
Australia’s passion for gin and the world’s keenness to distil it is far from fading. Gin sales are booming in Australia generally and the surge in popularity of gin has been dubbed the ‘ginaissance’.
12 Days of Ginmas®️ is a gin advent calendar showcasing 12 premium gins from all around the world. It is the only advent calendar offering both international and premium gins, one for each of the 12 days leading up to Christmas.
Ms Adamson said: “For Christmas and New Year gift giving, we wanted to create a product that is chic with stylish and elegant presentation and above all offer a selection of the world’s best gins.
“The gift box features twelve 30ml gins and thoroughly researched tasting notes that provide serving guidelines, tonic recommendations and garnish suggestions.”
The product integrates art deco design flare with premium gins to create a luxury gift. Australian artist, Leo Greenfield, has assisted in creating the design and tasting notes artwork.
Speakeasy Alice differs from other alcohol distributors as she sources fine, boutique gins from around the world, which can be purchased individually or through her unique gin subscription service.
In August this year Dan Murphy’s head of spirits, Adam Jenkins, reported that gin is the fastest growing spirit segment with sales growing by 30 percent this year.
12 Days of Ginmas®️ is the ultimate and perfect Christmas gift, not only for gin lovers but also for gin novices. It is the ideal introduction to some of Australia and the world’s best gins.
Alice said: “The gins have been sourced from Australia, UK, Italy, Belgium, Finland and Germany and the varieties include; Barrel Aged, Sloe, London Dry and Botanical Gins – giving all Ginmas®️ customers an international gin experience.”
Some of the gin brands include Spring Gin from Belgium, Boigin from Italy as well as Kalevala Gin from Finland, the later is imported direct Speakeasy Alice especially for 12 Days of Ginmas®️ and is not available elsewhere in Australia.
Ms Adamson said: “My gin journey has been 8 years in the making.
“I was a teetotaller until I was 30, as I couldn’t find an alcoholic drink I actually liked the taste of.
“Someone put a G+T in my hand at a NYE party in 2010 and the rest was history. I fell in love with gin and it is still the only alcohol I drink.
“Gift guessing is easily solved, as this present is suitable for adult family members, friends and colleagues.
“We have also created a four-pack box of gin especially for corporates or entities that are interested in buying sets of ten or more.”
12 Days of Ginmas®️ will retail at $165 and be available for pre-order at speakeasyalice.com from late October. Limited numbers can also be purchased from East End Cellars in Adelaide in November.
