Question: What do you get if you blend a Rock Band, Bad Girls & Burlesque?
Answer: Only one the most f#cking brilliant piece of Burlesque performance you will ever see.
Burlesque Bad Girls starts off with Adelaide’s rock band The Babes setting the tone and in every way creates the vibe of night we’re in store for. The talented muso’s play the entire set of numbers for the burlesque performances covering massive hits like Joan Jetts – ‘I Love Rock’n’Roll’, Alice Cooper’s ‘Poison’, ACDC’s ‘Highway to Hell’, Guns and Roses’ ‘Don’t Cry’ & Def Leppard’s ‘Pour Some Sugar On Me’. There were no low moments, high energy is what we got, Donna D, Corey Stone, Moni Lashes smashed it out while lead J.D.s presence was epic and his voice powerful and commanding. This band is a total force of nature – YOU.MUST.EXPERIENCE.THEM!
BUT… we came for Burlesque! And we got it. Australia’s best was the line-up lead by hostess Nona Mona who effortlessly held the stage and entertained and involved the audience between acts. It was a full packed-in house and Nona retained the attention of the crowd and kept the show flowing with finesse.
Full disclosure; I developed a major crush on Bettie Bombshell, back earlier in the year when she was part of After-hours Cabaret Club, she shone, now I’m happy to announce, after her performance in this show it’s full-blown LOVE. This woman is a mistress of her craft, she can do no wrong.
Adelaide’s reigning Miss Burlesque SA, Luna Eclipse, is gorgeous a major talent and proves why she owns the title.
Domino DeJour, Miss Burlesque Australia Showgirl of the year 2016, performance is immaculate, and is a queen of seduction.
Now the master mind behind this fabulous sensation is the Miss Burlesque SA 2016 Miss Curvella. As well as performing brilliant burlesque with titillating prowess, what she produced with this show is unique and a blend of two bold creative form Rock and Burlesque. Cannot even imagine what she we bring us next, but I will be there and I await with eagerness.
Stunning costumes, perfect song selection, gorgeous stage kitties and everyone that graced the stage brought their personality by the bucket load.
Weak links? Dull moments? Flat parts? None, None and None. This was a brilliantly produced show and sets a solid standard for those to follow. To sum up… as Cher says, ‘Follow this Bitches!’
